In this sessions the Global Taskforce explored how the Local 2030 Hub for Sustainability Solutions provides a relevant platform to materialize the localization of the agendas. The Local 2030 Hub for Sustainability Solutions is a multi-stakeholder hub established by the UN Secretary General’s Executive Office and aiming to catalyze solutions, accelerate SDG implementation. In dialogue with the partners, future actions on key areas for global agenda implementation were discussed. Furthermore, members, partners and political representatives of the Global Taskforce have given inputs to the links and synergies between the New Urban Agenda and the global agendas, including climate change and SDGs.
DeLoG is a strong partner of the Global Taskforce. The Global Taskforce should contribute to the definition of Sustainable Development Goals that cover the local and regional responsibilities, including specific local indicators on urban sustainability as well as a stand-alone goal on sustainable cities.
