We are pleased to announce that Switzerland, through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), has renewed its co-funding agreement to DeLoG and its Secretariat from 2017 to 2020.

By revitalizing its commitment, the SDC aims to bolster DeLoG´s efforts towards the promotion of a shared understanding around Decentralization and Local Governance (DLG) among its members, as well as sustaining its work towards the achievement of the SDGs at the local level and the advancement of DLG issues.

In this context, Georgette Bruchez (Head of the Western Balkans Division, SDC) and Corinne Huser (Policy Advisor Democratisation, Decentralisation and Local Governance, SDC) recently met with Mike Falke (Head of the Governance and Human Rights Department, GIZ) and Jochen Mattern (Coordinator of the DeLoG Secretariat) in Bern, to acknowledge the trust placed in the work of the network and its Secretariat.

Mrs. Corinne Huser – who also serves as DeLoG Focal Point at SDC – provides us with an insight into the reasons behind the SDC´s decision and the expected outcomes of this renewed support.
